Arch-tectons:

There once was a worldwide culture and I have been saying this as long as I can remember. It isn’t that I discovered this or knew it from mere common sense and the fact that humans are adventuresome and probably were a lot more so before the advent of TV and other ways to idly spend time without gaining a great deal of soulful nourishment. I am sure I read about these things before I was in grade one in books by Conan Doyle or Edgar Rice Burroughs. But we were taught an entirely different history when I was in school. Judging by the extreme reactions from people who read my work and attack all the scientific sources I am pretty sure the majority of educational systems in the world are still teaching the Manifest Destiny and Flat Earth-derivative propaganda that serves nations and the elites who manage us very well. The nature of prior culture was not to build borders to separate man it would appear. One of the earliest sciences that continue to bring us more proof of this worldwide culture is linguistics.

Recently a Harvard Professor found a script in the Negev Desert. The same root script is found far earlier in Australia. But that only goes back to 5000 BCE. Ogham is far more ancient as is its relative Old European from the region of Casiberia or the Caucasus. Alexander Marshack took twenty-five years to prove these people who went to Iberia had an accurate lunar calendar. These people are the ‘travelers’ in many cultural myths around the world and genetics shows these Red Heads were in America as soon as they were in Northwestern Europe if not a little while before.

The study of symbols and the deep meaning and healing power of mandalas will not be on many university courses. But when people study ancient languages they cannot help but see spiritual meanings and meditative or healing systems galore. Jung’s archetypes or Hebrew meditations like Unsheathing the Soul by focusing on the letters of the vowelless script letters of ancient Hebrew are two fine examples. The design or letters also developed the octaves of music or became more understood through chanting such as the Mungo Man in Australia was adept at. The way energy interacts or responds to other energy is witnessed in our chakras and solar body as well as in the design of buildings and the apparent chaos of the world around us. Pythagoras’ Golden Mean is one of the still important architectural axioms. In fact the word architect comes from ‘high-builder’ or arch-tecton such as we see the family of Jesus is identified as in the Septuagint.

Some have asked why do we wish to take away the Color TV sets and Weight Rooms at the prisons? Is it societies need for Vengeance? Vengeance is a human trait indeed and even if people deny it, it still shows in the way they vote some say. Recently this issue came up in an online think tank with a think tanker stated regarding the vengeance issue;

“That doesn’t sound good to me. So is it ok for us on the outside to give into those base instincts? I don’t think so.”

Indeed and thus why allow prisoners who do a cake walk? And why build a system, which denies the basic inherent characteristics of mankind. If you leave it to the people the “Mob” will move to stoning people to death who are different; too pretty, too successful, too mean, too nasty, too different or potentially criminals too. How can you change a system, which relies on voters to decide what to do when one-third of all humans would lie to save a dollar, steal for $100 and kill for a $100,000? And what about the second third? $10, $1,000 or $1,000,000.00

The entire system is based on people and well, since most people cannot be trusted, why should we be surprised that it is not fair, or does not work or is merely a complete sugar coating of reality?

“It is impossible to follow all the laws all the time, as there are so many of them”

Indeed I very much agree with your summation about our complex set of laws; The uneven enforcement and the issues with case law, intent of law and wording of law. It seems for the right price those laws can say whatever you want them too. Thus why have them at all. A simplistic set of laws is best, ones we as a civilization can embrace and understand.

Another think tanker admits; “In any case it appears “we” agree on these things philosophically on many points. And rather than continue with all the problems, what do you propose is a solution? Because the system is way out of wack. We have uneven justice and a system, which does not work. The rehabilitation does not work and the stories about someone being killed by someone who has a long rap sheet are so common. You mentioned you studies of other nations and their prison systems. Which ones do you like best and why?”

Perhaps you, yes you, have some ideas on how to make our prison system better, perhaps you have some concepts you might like to express. We need a better plan and one, which works, because this current plan is not working and we are wasting human productivity, taxpayer’s monies and time. Consider all this in 2006.

I believe I know what the Void feels like. Do you? It’s cold…and very lonely, because it’s wanting creation and nothing exists there as of yet.

Spend enough time there, and you may fear that you could die of it. Too much emptiness for the soul to endure; too much nothing. Until you hear (or see, or feel) it…the voice of one who has been there, too - endured it and survived to tell the tale.

I believe that we love artists most when they get us in touch with our inner selves in a way that the world outside us cannot. Much has been said about the price that they pay for their wondrous creations: loneliness and misunderstanding, addictions, emotional imbalance and depression, the life of a misanthrope. What are seldom conjectured, though, are the reasons for the artists’ sufferings.

Well, they’re living somewhere beyond the safely-defined place we call reality. They are the frontier explorers of the unknown. And that means that they exist in a place where they have nothing but their own intuition and insight to guide them…because they got there first! No one else has experienced what they have; these impressions are new, hard to fathom and even much harder to articulate. No wonder the visionaries of our world are oftentimes so lonely and desperate. Who can they confide in, and who can offer them condolences? Mankind may not catch up to the place where the artist succumbed until long after he or she is gone.

When we DO reach that place, we feel the chill too. But we have one consolation: the words or music or visual images bequeathed to us from one who has gone before. The art of our visionary creates a veritable map for us to find our way. We are no longer in the void where nothing makes sense; Art has given form to our world.

I never believed that art and science were at such odds with each other. Both are approaches to structuring our universe, and neither are strong and true for all time. Evolution continues - art offers up new inspirations, and science gives us new explanations. Joseph Campbell said that the motifs of myth had to be constantly reinvented, lest the life-giving forces slip away. Our artists keep that mythic fire alive so that it can be passed, intact, to succeeding generations.

And each generation must make its own journey into the unknown and face the long stretch of trials. Perils lurk in the wood, upon airy mountain heights and deep within the bowels of the Earth. But we will have help: the wise old guide, the maiden who knows the way out of the labyrinth…

And we’ll know that we’re embarked upon the only noble adventure left for modern man: the exploration of the inner world. Where else can we go? Everything has been settled and claimed, turned into megamalls and urban sprawl. We have to take the classic hero’s lead, and trust that the way within will illuminate the way out.

I doubt that our political leaders can offer us much in the way of good advice for that journey. But Tolkien provided me with some useful roadmaps, as did Stephen R. Donaldson, Arthur Rimbaud, Joseph Campbell, Rumi, Kandinski, and so many others.

Art is rain for thirsty souls.

“High education”, a jargon that may distinguish us; spiritually and materially, from a huge numbers of people, whom are thought to be living in the very spiritually primitive parts of the world.

Everyday, we see that the ideas from those with Ph.D degrees seem to carry profound influence on the world’s phenomenon. So why are their words carry more power? No one states that what thoughts from those with Ph.D degree are right, but it is us, the people with no distinguished level on the social stages, who think that. Philosophers have thought that “the idea from an innocent boy would somehow thought as “genuinely good” than those with Ph.D dgrees.

However, unconditionally, I do appreciate those with such the qualifications, since it is the landmark of their protracted endeavors. So do you really want to earn a Ph.D degree? If yes, so that is Ph.D? The sole and honest scope of this article is to reveal one truth behind Ph.D degree to the world in general.

Our diverse world is constituted of too many tissues that make us hard to walk from which from which. Those from Ph.D degrees are trained to see, as I assume, more evil existences in this world.

The world is full of opportunity and more apparently, “the evils.” If a person is categorized into “doctoral species”, he or she was trained to see huge negative aspects of the world that need to be demolished or rectified: the way to make our world a better place. What I am talking about here is already spoken too many times already from different people from different social aspects, but it is here just “to reiterate the truth.”

Ph.D degree just means “to make the world a better place.” Think about this phrase to make it truly melt into your heart, before you decide to enroll into the degree. Ph.D, from its natural sense, is not mean to make huge profit like many have thought. Aggregating the genuine information, regardless of how good or bad, discriminate or neutral, silly or intellectual, and revel it to the world.

However, most Ph.D graduates have turned the natural meanings up-side-down. The next spiritual module for you the readers, is to think about those with Ph.D that turn the down its natural meaning.

This article is not about King Pyrrhus; this however may be the last mention of the 200th anniversary of Nelson’s victory at The Battle of Trafalgar in this Newsletter.

The HMS Victory’s keel was laid in 1759, it took six years to build at a final cost of £63,176, she was launched in 1765 and commissioned in 1778, making it the world’s oldest commissioned ship (and a proud memorial to Vice Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson).

In 1922 she was placed into dry-docks at Portsmouth, where we can still marvel at her beauty and wonderful state of preservation. However, after 157 yeas in active service and 9 battles and 5 refits, how much of the original ship is left? The answer to this is not a lot, and also a great deal.

Originally a "second rater" she became a "first-rate" warship on her first refit, which enabled her to carry more than the 100 guns required for that class. Ships like the Victory were made entirely from wood. These ships were built to fight the war that was on at the particular moment, and were not expected to last for centuries.

All 3 masts and parts of the structure were replaced at the battle of Trafalgar. It is also safe to assume that all of the rope; all but one Fore Topsail required to rig the Victory; the iron hoops used to fit together the masts; the carefully shaped beams and sophisticated joints that warped; all exposed nails and bolts; her 6 boats and 7 anchors would have all needed replacing long ago.

A lot of the integral structure was removed during the first refit of 1793, to accommodate increased armament, and much of the ship was lost to running repairs in battle; 19th century souvenir hunters and Second World War bomb damage. Not only has the warship had to suffer many years of hostile action but also human neglect. She was used as storage and even a prison ship; in 1903 she was badly damaged by the warship HMS Neptune and almost sank.

By 1920 she had become a worm damaged ‘hulk’. Many of her huge oak timbers were badly decayed due to continually getting wet then drying out and where systematically having to be replaced.

Luckily, when original damaged parts were replaced, a careful record was kept, of which and when beams are altered or replaced. Without this record it would become increasingly more difficult to separate the old from the new.

It is thanks to this record we know that over the years much of the hull has been rebuilt or replaced with teak and tropical hardwood like iroko through ongoing renewal of the timbers since the 1970s. Many areas within the ship itself have been reconstructed such that today only about 20% of the original vessel remains from 1765. However the more protected lower parts of the ship’s decks are progressively more original with around 90% below the water line being original, while the lower gun deck is 75% original and part of the stern and much of the keel are the same original timbers.

Because whenever possible the correct methods and materials are used in returning the ship, colour and layout to how she was on the morning of the Battle of Trafalgar, Nelson would recognise his flagship so, new timbers, modern insecticides notwithstanding, to him the Victory would still be the Victory.

It is likely that his successors as commanders on the Victory over the next 100 years would have greater difficulty, because the refitting of the ship to keep her fit for current service would have increasingly taken her away from the 1815 status.

There is probably not enough left of the original timbers for the ship to float, so a purist might argue that she is only a replica, now, not the "real" Victory. As a monument to a great man and a great moment, this is irrelevant. So long as there is any part of the original ship remaining, we can touch what Nelson touched, and that is enough.

So often we find very religious folks operating inside the realm of science. The problem is that these folks often apply their religious teachings to every single endeavor that they study. Obviously in doing this they are going to come to the wrong conclusions more often than not and it is for this reason we need to kick them out of the sciences as they are not of right mind.

Recently in arguing the fact that humans are 99% DNA similar to Chimpanzees and therefore if we classify Chimps as animals then so too must be humans; a religious nut case scoundrel claiming to be a researcher had a tiff with another think tanker and stated;

“What you are reading and feeling is not so similar to the indifferences scientists face throughout the confines of the research work.”

The think tanker who stated the facts said; “But I have zero feelings for this entire issue. Only the obvious denial of observation and egocentric attitude of human beings is holding them back from reality and that is rather appalling indeed. Go re-read Matt Ridley and my other recommended reading in previous threads and stop arguing with me. Stephen Baxster who has discussed this at length basically is saying Humans are nothing more than another species of Incompetent Apes. I want nothing to do with them.”

Rather than arguing the points of contention the religious brain dead follower standing in the way of scientific fact stated; “Evaluating percentage between two linear DNA sequences is easy. but percentage of between two developing species is meaningless. What molecular genetics provide us with is a way to compare organisms in an unsuitable framework. Pair wise body comparison is simply nonsense.”

Of course the fact stating think tanker stated more of the obvious; “There is more difference between dogs; Chihuahua and Mastiff or Australian Shepard than a Chimpanzee, Guerilla or Human. And we call dogs breeds but classify them in the same species. I am sorry, there is nothing less I can do for you, as Humans maybe unique in some ways, but not by much. The Genotype determines the phenotype and phenotype development is 50/50 nature vs. nurture and you go and read the Foust book you see the Chimpanzees when raised with humans, drink beer, watch TV, like to dress up in clothes. There have also been humans raised in the wild who act just like animals when taught to communicate without human language. Read little wolf boy etc. They are more in-tuned with nature and their refined attributes are so keen and in touch with nature. One chimpanzee likes to go to the mall and try on shoes? Sound familiar. I am sorry anyone who denies this overwhelming evidence is WRONG.”

And continued to state; “I have no feelings for this issue, only observations. You are denying all the observation and spouting Science Terminology incorrectly and without consideration for reality. You are dangerous to truth. If the DNA sequence is the same then the DNA will fold the same and the proteins will be the same. I am not buying any of what you are saying.”

You can see why the religious close-minded lunatic scientists must not be allowed to write papers or cloud the scientific world with their data or BS. We cannot allow the forward progression of the species to be screwed over by believers of Santa Clause any longer. So consider all this in 2006.

The more "civilized" our culture becomes on the surface - and the more sophisticated and complex our technology grows - the greater the extent to which fantasy’s imagery and themes permeate our literature, films, music and visual arts. Is there a relationship between these two developments? I believe there is.

Fantasy has always arisen in response to a deep need within our collective psyches, to connect with the strange and unfathomable worlds that lie just below our waking consciousness. The greatest works of fantasy are built upon archetypal images that exist within all of us, at the very roots of our being. Modern men and women can ignore these life-enriching motifs only at the great detriment to their souls’ nourishment.

Consider classical mythology. People are oftentimes disenchanted when they’re first exposed to it, because it seems like a childish explanation of reality - the manner in which our universe was formed, and the purpose of life. The mistake lies in assuming, in the first place, that myths exist to explain how the world works.

Rather, these tales from antiquity have always served to remind us that LIFE IS AN UNFATHOMABLE MYSTERY. This is a crucial point to grasp. When we consider the world as a known thing - something defined and fully grasped by our wonderful intellects - then we lose our sense of wonder.

And without wonderment we join the general malaise of modern humanity. Frustrated and bored, quietly desperate, we come to believe that nothing in life has deep meaning or significance - and we seek escape; we try to fill the resulting emptiness with countless addictions.

Our artists, our fantasists, seek to rouse us out of this limiting and life-deadening stupor.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, as the saying goes. Nor was King Arthur, I would add. Aragorn, Merlin, Orpheus, Horus, Charlemagne, and Gilgamesh weren’t overnight creations either. Which begs the question: what is it, exactly, that works to build the stature of such heroes of myth and fantasy? I understand the writer’s perspective, of defining one’s ideal qualities and then creating a character within which to clothe them. But let’s take it a step further and consider what kinds of formative experiences might lead to the development of these qualities.

Great stories usually accomplish this in one way or another; we see not only the heroes’ triumph, but also all the trials and tribulations that contributed to their growth along the way. They are confronted with their limitations and darker aspects, and these they must either overcome or else accept with gracious humility before they can achieve their particular victory.

To simplify the matter, I would suggest that heroes are those who go out on a limb. Where they struggle, there ultimately is no help, because they’ve broken through to a realm of experience that no one else has ever entered before. The answer, if there is to be one, must come from within them. No one else can provide it

This is one of the prime consolations I find in fantasy and mythic literature, and I believe that therein lies much of its popular appeal. We can find comfort and inspiration in these stories during those dark moments when we have nowhere to turn. We’re out on a limb ourselves, beset with a conflict that only we can resolve – and inaction will only worsen. The advice of friends and family - though perhaps well meant and appreciated - is not relevant to our struggle because our loved ones haven’t been where we are.

But the mythic heroes have. They risked losing everything that they cherished in life, yet they found a way to prevail. Not only that, but they achieved victory, in the end, by drawing solely upon their own inner resources. They had help along the way, but ultimately the fate of their world rested upon their action. They become the teachers and guides of their respective cultures because they took a plunge into the dark unknown and succeeded in mapping out its regions for the next generation of seekers to come.

And to these newcomers they bequeath the message of their journey, which reads: “You, too, have the power to create your own reality and form your own destiny.”

Often you will hear wise men speak of God as energy and not an actual being. Recently one stated to me that God was pure energy and that is why it is so hard for the human mind to understand. In fact a human brain is small and humans do not even use it all and therefore could not expect to understand these ideas.

The wise man stated; “Again when I speak of god I do not place any religious qualifications on a ultimate elder energy, only that it is ultimate, immaculate and indefinable by present human thought. Humans are made in the image of god with intelligence”

Actually you did, as your comments are contradictory; you see on one hand you say humans are weak minded, do not use all their brains and cannot understand god. Then you give them this backhanded compliment, which they surely do not deserve. Well most of what we call humans do not deserve such a comment; although a small percentage walking around as homo sapiens (carbon based bipeds) do.

If one wishes to worship something such as energy, the sun, or other forces that just are, they are free to do so and indeed it would not be new to recent human history or even ancient writings to worship such as a god, with you caveat; “Provided such a being does indeed exist” And of course provided if it did that you adopt this entity as you god. Consider all this in 2006.

Often when one asks a question of a religious leader for which that religious leader has not a clue; they will often state that the Human mind cannot comprehend the mighty and powerful or infinite God? Hey that’s a good one isn’t it, it lets them out of answering your question doesn’t it? If you press them everyone once in a while one might say that human beings do not use all their brain capacity. But in answering these questions in this way it merely leads to more questions for instance;

Your comment on the inability of the human mind to explain God pre-supposes that the human mind is inferior? Yet at the same time you say humans do not use all their brains. So then if humans used all their brains they could by your definition understand god. But this indeed pre-supposes there is a god, gods or energy if you will.

Now then I submit to you that the human animal has been getting wiser and smarter over the past 50,000 years and only now with abundance do some humans choose to “not think” and therefore a slight dummying down of the masses.

If a god was energy, then that in its self explains the whole thing. No more information is needed and it is rather self-explanatory, so therefore it is easy for a human mind to understand. Much simpler in fact than these huge religious texts of literature and hand-me-down mass hallucination religious doctrine, which change over time to continue to control the peasants. Be careful of religious rhetoric and BS and consider this in 2006.
